I was approached by a surprise visit from Marilyn, the daughter of the late Geoff Horwood. Marilyn went solo in the Kookaburra back in the day, after being winch launched, most often to a mere 500ft, barley enough altitude to join a circuit she said. I showed her some pictures from her Mum Pat now 98 and her father Geoff, she had never seen before, from the 60^th anniversary in 1997, 24 years ago. Marilyn and her partner Tony Bedford are both (retired) glider pilots with years of experience. I hope they hitch the caravan in Adelaide and stay a weekend sometime.
